The Client
Walker & Company is one of the top construction companies in Florida. Their projects are some of the most familiar buildings in Central Florida and across the state including Channelside in Tampa, The Rollins Campus in Orlando, the Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine, the Orlando Museum of Art as well as countless other Florida projects. They have received many awards in every sector of the construction industry. Their dedication to detail, honesty and quality have made them the premier construction company to work within Central Florida as well as the entire state.
The Challenge
Since 1974, Walker and Company has been awarded some of the top contracts in Florida. They relied on their reputation and customer service to continue that trend. However, their website prior to coming to Next Horizon, was outdated and did not directly represent the quality of the company and its work. The website was difficult to navigate on mobile, was not ADA compliant and did not have a quality showcase area for its past projects.
The Solution
We, at Next Horizon, were excited to work with such a prestigious company. After a discovery meeting with Walker & Company, we quickly identified that the most important aspects of this project were to showcase their work, modernize the design and increase responsiveness to mobile platforms.
Walker uses their website as a presentation tool. They needed a project gallery that showcased their beautiful designs with dynamic visuals. We built an easy to navigate gallery page with their top 7 project categories. Each item would have multiple HD images, a description of the project and a lightbox feature that allowed for the project photos to increase to a size suitable for presentation.
The Results
Walker and Company received an updated, responsive and ADA compliant design. Their home page now features a small sizzle reel showing off their work while their project pages provide a deep gallery of project photos and details. The new website has become their go-to tool when it comes to client presentations. The collaboration between Next Horizon and Walker & Company was a success. They were very happy with the results and we were proud to work with such a prestigious company.
