The Client

Founded in 1997, Shepherd’s Hope provides healthcare services, education and wellness programs to uninsured families across Central Florida. Its work also benefits the region’s business community and broader health care system by helping lower the cost of health insurance and unburdening an already strained health care system. Shepherd’s Hope is the largest free and charitable clinic in Florida, both in the number of locations and patient capacity, and as a nationally recognized nonprofit health and human services agency.

Cuhaci & Peterson Needed to Refresh their Outdated Design

The Challenge

As Shepherd’s Hope was growing, they experienced technical and compliance challenges regarding their IT infrastructure. They knew that with their current provider, the level of patient care they provided would be difficult to maintain. They needed a more experienced IT Managed Service provider to build them a comprehensive IT strategy fit for a growing business.

The Solution

Shepherd’s Hope decided to outsource their IT services to Next Horizon in 2015. Understanding that this customer needed a cost-effective, manageable solution, Next Horizon performed a network and security audit. As a result, a IT plan was developed and executed that included equipment standardization, computer upgrades, as well as the design and installation of an enhanced wireless network infrastructure. Next Horizon also manages the client’s technology vendors including ISP, cable, phone and cloud storage.

The Results

By working with Next Horizon, Shepherd’s Hope was able to save money by reducing overhead costs, improve staff productivity, standardize computer equipment, reduce the staff on-boarding process, and safely secure data in the cloud.
